Arctic Sun is your one-stop partner for everything related to renewable energy systems in the Far North. Our new retail store and office are now open regular business hours, and the full service web-store will be open for business the end of summer 2012.
We offer design service, products and installation for residential and commercial renewable energy systems. From solar PV and solar thermal to wind turbines and geothermal heat pumps, we are able to serve all your alternative energy needs. In addition, we carry a selection of high efficiency building products and passive house components. These include top performing boilers with solar thermal integration capabilities, and efficient passive house certified heat recovery ventilators from Europe with ground based preheating loops for pre-warming incoming ventilation air.
Currently, we are developing our product line of highly efficient ARCTIC entry doors with an R-value of up to R-60 and multiple lock points for airtight seals. Additionally, we are developing exterior thermal shutter systems that will provide a viable solution to the huge energy deficit created by windows during long cold winter nights. Until glazing technology catches up with the extreme requirements in our arctic regions, thermal shutters offer an attainable solution needed to build truly efficient buildings.

Renewable Energy Alaska Project's 5th annual conference. Arctic Sun's Thorsten Chlupp was a panelist for: Energy Efficiency - Alaska's "First Fuel."
The staffs of Arctic Sun and Reina, LLC were out in force at this year's Home Show.
Thorsten Chlupp gave a seminar on The True Cost of Super Insulation, and Karl Kassel gave a seminar on Renewable Economics in Fairbanks.
This self-guided tour showcased a variety of local, renewable energy systems. Visitors saw first-hand how their neighbors are beating the high cost of energy in Fairbanks.
